I've been working with audio since 2013.

Below features a small selection of my audio work during this time.

From 30-second advertisements to 60-minute podcasts, these samples illustrate the range of my skill in hosting, interviewing, scripting, editing, and sound design.

Yeah, What She Said is a monthly feminist podcast I acted as producer and host of since 2013. On January 21st 2017, a Women's March was held in Calgary in solidarity with the Women's March on Washington. I coordinated my team in our coverage of the event --- sending our reporter Nicole Edmond to gather field audio, directing our contributor Georgia Jones to interview an attendee of the Washington march, and conducting an interview with Mylynn Felt who studies digitally-organized activism.

I edited the gathered audio into Episode 19 - Calgary's Women's March on Washington, shared to your left. This stands as one of the episodes of Yeah, What She Said that I am most proud of --- both of my team's hard work and of own contribution.

CJSW's Radioland is a sporadic press release style podcast designed to share the radio station's achievements and plans with the greater Calgary arts community. This episode announces the launch of our Local Library project, a collaboration between the radio station and the Calgary Public Library.

I proposed the topic, interviewed the guests, wrote the script, edited audio and produced this episode on CJSW's Local Music Library, to your left.

Scream Scene is a weekly podcast I produce and host alongside Ben Rowe. We watch every horror movie ever made then rank them from best to worst. As we do so, Ben researches the film's background and where it fits in film history, and I investigate the societal and cultural contexts that the films occur in. This episode features one of two films made in Nazi Germany: Fährmann Maria (1936, Wysbar). We take an inside look at the state of the film industry during this time, and the incredibly subversive themes in this film.

In addition to research and hosting, it is my responsibility to edit the audio into the finished episode. Episode 57 - Volkisch Galorkisch is to your left.

The horror anthology radio drama series, Darkside Drive, ran two seasons, and I proudly served as production manager for both. I ensured episodes broadcast on time, quality-read scripts, and kept the producer Justin Guild from going completely insane. From its pre-recorded first season to its live-broadcast second season, Darkside Drive brought old-time radio plays back to 2018 Calgary.

One of my proudest episodes is Blind Taste Test, which you can listen to here.

While leading the production department at CJSW radio, I started an initiative to further involve volunteers: monthly themes. Each month, volunteers choose a topic or individual to write about; Black History month, Mental Health Awareness month, and Indigenous History month are all examples of monthly themes organized in 2016.

Normally these segments are 60-seconds in length, however our Indigenous History month required a segment explaining the background of the theme that necessitated a longer segment.

I scripted, voiced, edited and produced this segment on the History of Indigenous History Month on your left.
